NONET user-submitted banners

Post by Secant » Thu Apr 23, 2009 6:40 pm

For any artistically-inclined oppers out there, we need a banner for the site! It will appear in the huge black area above the forum title.

Submission guidelines:
-should be 979px wide × 152px tall
-background color is black if you want to do something with transparency, etc
-maybe try to integrate the title?

If you need photoshop:

Let's see some banners!

Now that im back i'll see if i can't make a good banner for NONET. I'm guessing it will be done in the next three days or less if time permits.

EDIT: Anybody have any good pics they would like to see implemented?

Here are 3 rough drafts I made about an hour ago. They are more of a basic idea of what the finished product will look like than anything so input is critical at this point...

Sorry for breaking the double post rule... It only lets me post them one at a time...

I like the first two a lot, would like more of a silhouette on the sky line one (like lights off in the buildings) but that's just because of my urban opping background, no idea if it would look better art-wise.

I'm searching for a new pic to use on that one right now... Would you like to take one and send it to me?

One moar question: Should I keep the font white on the first one?

They are all great and the silhouette idea sounds fantastic. Good job mate.

Here are two more. (only two good pics that would work) If anyone has a decent picture of a dark skyline I can make it into a banner...

I put up a banner. Thought the design was clean, etc. If anyone really hates it, say so and I'll change it.

I swapped over to the red theme recently and noticed the lack of banner, so I fired up photoshop and shooped this shit up in about 5 minutes to fill the gap, if you want:

Don't take it too seriously, you're not coming out of it alive.
