I think it's too dark to make a full set out of. However I think it would be great for breaking up the outline of the individual by going for a tigerstripe pattern of sorts using strips of that material. Or carrying a sash of it so you can turn into an amorphous blob whenever you like.

I think you could make some sort of cape out of it to rap around you whenever you need. I know if i saw a weird black blob in the distance I wouldn’t investigate, might be cool to explore.

My bad, didn’t read it properly ig, just checked the website, a decent sized roll of it is like 50 dollars

The inner material lining does look like it would be very hot and only practical for a suit in a cold weather environment, however the cape veil idea may work better. I would consider making a ghillie suit like material on one side of the cape / bed roll / veil and having this material on the inside so that you can blend into vegetation with the ghillie side or become a shadow with the IR black material sheet (i.e. under a parked truck , under an AC roof unit , in an alley )

I've looked into the material before
It stands out to much in the dark
Especially When cameras are involved
You show up appearing black in colour. Contrast to the rest of the environment giving off a grey colour
