I've heard that Space blankets can help with bypassing passive IR detection systems.
How effective are they? is it necessary to be extremely paranoid about covering yourself? will say, being wrapped in it with face partly exposed be enough to trigger alarms?

I saw this mythbusters as well, the only sure 100% way to bypass a IR sensor is glass. The trouble isnt doing it, its finding how to fold and carry thick peices of glass in a backpack.

Mythbusters also had the girl one Carrie wearing a white bedsheet and walking in front of the sensors and not being detected.

IR-transperant. No luck there.
