Funny you should say that. I was just looking this morning to see if another website had survived after noticing I had an old siterip of it. And... the answer is surprisingly yes!
Textfiles.com was another old school "forbidden fruit" site. As such, there's a lot of crap but there's some good content too. It might be worth digging through for the unfamiliar.
Speaking of such things, there seem to be a few &T archives floating around. Here are a couple;
Code: Select all
https://archive.org/details/TotseArchive
Totseans itself was a much less populated &T clone but kind of turned into a senseless circle jerk. But, it's alive. Also,
This is probably the most successful &T clone out there right now. Might be worth cross posting for some of you like Sicarius.
Note that while I've mentioned &T a fair bit, the reality it is wasn't actually some badass website. It seems like it when you're young but as you mature and learn a few things you learn it was kind of a joke. Still today I make &T jokes with certain people out of pure sarcasm, a reference to how inaccurate it was and filled with "angry anarchy!!!" types. The term "kewl" specifically was meant to define the type who pretended to be an expert but didn't actually know anything, coming across as an immature axe bomb flailing idiot. Literally everything was bottom of the barrel. The drug forum: lots of DXM and weed. Weapon forum: swords and hi-points. Bad ideas: aborting your baby by mugging your own GF in an alley wearing a mask (I'm not joking). Pyro forum: AP and other dangerous primaries sure to make you lose appendages.
Speaking of, Xanatos you'd asked if I might have a save of the 8th edition of the NO topic. I highly doubt it, that was a short blip and I'm pretty sure I started backing up later on once I realized this stuff wasn't going to last forever. You might have better luck hunting it down in other online archives. I can try to help soon.
Knowledge alone is not power, it is the potential for power. That potential can only be unlocked through applying that knowledge and realizing the skill.
