Historic Heist

Post by Xanatos » Wed Nov 27, 2019 8:27 pm

A major museum heist was conducted in Dresden a few days ago:

I know not what the intentions of the thieves are, but it warms my heart to know such feats are still possible. Infiltrating a target, completing an objective and evading capture from authorities. So far as I can tell nobody was hurt, so the thieves must've been long gone before anybody suspected anything.

I can't help but appreciate that stolen Polish relics were later stolen from those who took them.

Stolen or reclaimed? We still don't know who the thieves are.

Presumably, the Order of the White Eagle that was part of the stolen items was inside of that museum in the first place because of the German invasion of Poland during WW2. That was the original theft I was mentioning. As time progresses, I find museums that house items completely out of context and away from their point of origin to be rather tasteless. They cheapen the true historic value of every item by doing so, making them little better than knock-off Las Vegas replicas of world wonders.
