Questions about circuits and trip wires

Ive recently learnt how to make a basic tripwire. when you trip it it makes a loud bang.

What i was wondering is there any way to make a tripwire start a fire or activate a circuit?

Perhaps if you inverted a circuit with a NOT gate and just removed part of the circuit? i have no idea so any help would be amazing!

also does anyone have any idea how long it would take to ignite black powder with a live wire?

^this connected to a 9v Close pin and foil tripwire set up, it will ignite the black powder in under 5 seconds when fired.
