Wow...
I'm finding it hard to believe that something like this is allowed to pass. I'm now starting to realize why certain UK users have been ramping up their personal security. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17576745 I seriously hope that this is stopped somehow, but from the tone of the article it...

Ah, ok. i thought it was trying to direct the current into the ground, that makes a lot more sense lol. For some reason i thought that two barbs were simply there to guarantee a better chance of success, and the electricity would have to flow through your body to ground. Since really they're just po...

Re: Tazer proof armor
So then there's a ground wire or something like that hanging out of the bottom of the pants? Seems a little impractical... Edit: after doing some reading, It seems like there have been cases when a thick leather jacket has been able to protect a person from a taser. If that's the case, i'm pretty su...

Re: Tazer proof armor
I've always wondered how well hardened leather armor would do against a tazer. I've got a feeling that as long as you got armor-grade leather, the contact points wouldn't be able to penetrate enough to shock you. And seeing as how they only ever shoot center of mass, all you'd really need would be a...

Re: Camo demonstration
Xanatos, i like it. Like i said, i think the multicam is very good at obscuring his form. it's very hard to recognize that "distinctive human outline" when he's wearing it, even if the camo is a little bit light for the environment. Color wise, i think the darkened camo does an excellent job at mimi...

Perhaps start real slow, by roaming around in woods type areas and exploring with them. Then escalate it into exploring abandoned structures, stuff that's truly abandoned, no security, that sort of thing. Then take it up another notch, start doing some UE on buildings that are a little less easily a...

I wouldn't worry too much about age, we've got a fair number of mid-twenties that i know of here, and 30 can't be much different, right? (right?!) Personally, with regards to the shooting, i'd like to think that it wasn't night ops related, due to the kid's attitude and attire. He seemed to be weari...

I must disagree, the darkened seems like it blends him in with the environment much better, even if the multicam blends his form a little more.

An old stealth guide i found (worth a read)
Last week i was wandering around the "kewl" side of the interwebs, and managed to find a pretty decent guide on how to stay hidden. Some of the ideas are a little outdated, but all together it seems like a very good guide for beginners who are looking for some advice on how to hide, and how to move ...
SerePick
Has anyone ever ordered anything from Serepick? Most of their gear is marketed towards urban security/evasion type stuff, it seems like a lot of their stuff is very small and would be handy to tuck in a wallet for SHTF type scenarios, or even for escape and evasion use on ops. For anyone not familia...

Bringing a bb gun is a spectacularly bad idea, better to stick with defensive weapons or tools such as spray, batons, large maglites, ect. The second you pull out anything resembling a gun, you escalate a fight up into the "life or death" area. Yes, there is a chance they will see it and flee, but w...

Agreed with Xanatos, any situation that would require use of firearms isn't one you're going to be posting about on this board. Going out on an op with a firearm is going out with the mentality "I may have to kill a person during my op tonight". The number of ops where that would be worth it are far...
