All this was mainly to do with the Russian Spammer - I was concerned that accounts might be compromised. If it's too much of a PITA I'll turn the password requirements down a level. Of course, I would hope that you all try to use strong passwords even when one is not explicitly required.

A new BBcode tag has been added: [rimg]. This embeds a (linked to source) image into a post, but resizes it to 300x400 so it doesn't make the page really wide. This will be used in the Dare Ops forum mostly so that we don't have to rely on using phpBB attachments.

CAPTCHA difficulty has been increased to hopefully deal with the "Russian Spammer" problem. Many inactive fake accounts were cleared from the database.

I rather like the idea of having an application. Such a system would make the vetting process simpler since staff wouldn't have to constantly watch for members to promote. A good balance might be to set certain objective criteria, then allow users to apply for membership after meeting those criteria...

It's pretty easy to make a serious compressed-air powered blowgun out of pvc, as long as you're careful constructing the air reservoir. It's hard to get the release valve to work properly, though - don't get one that you have to twist sharply, it affects aiming too much for the blowgun to be useful....
