He drops in from time to time. To be fair, he does state that his katana training is purely for the workout & fun factor, not that people should start sneaking around with swords.

We generally shy away from giving out personal information, but if it's general enough (US state or small European country, for instance, something you could cover in a day trip) it may be worth a try. Post at your own risk.

Australia has only had one 'mass shooting' incident, and that was apparently justification to ban ALL guns. Kinda shortsighted in my opinion, as nobody seems at all concerned with the skyrocket in other violent crimes. Funny how these things escalate with a populace that's unable to adequately defen...

Sneaking out of the house is part of the op itself. As far as I'm concerned, travelling to & from the AO requires the same tactical awareness & calm mindset, analogous to soldiers TABbing to & from an objective. If travel is gonna be a major obstacle for you, take advantage of any travel time - goin...

The disposable orange squishys work just as well. They're cheap & disposable, and if you wear them under a full head mask (like a balaclava or shemagh) they won't fall out as easily.

I often carry a cat or two in my pockets for possible self-defence situations. Cats naturally like curling up in tight, dark, preferably warm spaces so they're comfortable for both the carrier and cat. And while traditional thrown weapons (knives, bo-shuriken, etc) are sometimes difficult to hit poi...

I remember on our last op of NOPCON II we were moving through a pitch-black forest in a gated community with plenty of crunchy leaves on the floor. Re: Question about camo
I've used Kryptek Typhon, Multicam Black and some other unspecified patterns. In low-light against dirt or mottled concrete they work reasonably well, but the difference between dark urban & solid camo is marginal. Unless you're partially concealed amongst similarly splotchy terrain (such as rubble)...

Opping is the best stress relief, I find.
And yeah, filming quality footage at night time - especially for instructional purposes - is a real pain in the arse. On my last vidop (not edited yet) I had trouble with my GoPro flailing about as I moved around. Definitely need a more secure headmount.

Sure, that'll work fine. If all else fails you can use zip ties to anchor the harness to the belt to prevent drift. Or even just tie it with paracord.

I've got a harness system on my battle belt (multicam Tasmanian Tiger model). Works a treat. Bit hard to use with leg platforms though as the belt sits on the waist rather than the hips, but it's all adjustable anyway so your mileage may vary.

I must admit I'm somewhat of a sucker for anything Kryptek, but as far as dark urban patterns go Typhon is as functional as any other. Pretty much what I said there. Pure cotton garments, tightly fitted, are quietest. Sweatpants, thermals, stretch jeans, etc. Ripstop doesn't stretch very much and so the garments are typically of a looser design, and especially on pant legs they scrap against one another audibly. Works well enough o...

Poly-cotton ripstop or pure cotton, for me. Ripstop grants better protection from rough terrain & vegetation, cotton is quieter and more comfortable (if you need to move in absolute silence, like inside of a house). If a pattern is too bright, you can always dye it a darker shade. Or, in the case of...

I personally prefer sticking close to walls, unless there's deeper shadow or some sort of cover (like taller grass) further away from it. To a moving observer, the further you are from the wall the more you'll show up in their depth perception as an object standing in the open. Whereas when you're f...
