Techniques of Burglar Alarm Bypassing by Wayne Yeager http://parazite.hostrator.com/techniques_of_burglar_alarm_bypassing.pdf This is, in my opinion, THE best primer to alarm systems out there. It lays out how they work and potential bypassing theory in simple terms and diagrams. Anybody can learn f...

For now, it sounds good. You should keep your physical training nice and easy, but still beneficial for you. Right now it's mostly a mental game. This is another topic I'm still interested in furthering. Does anybody have the means to test out ideas to defeat the Wiegand system? Know a friend that works at a hotel, anything? I'd like to keep this topic active as it's a pressing issue and we still haven't come up with a clear solution. It may seem that there is no uncompromising solution, but innovation is what this forum is all about, no? There's gotta be a way. I looked in the ion ray gun concept, and the idea is just ...

Admittedly, I've found no method to unlocking these without destruction of either the window or the lock, no matter how minor. In some applications, the frame of the window itself is weak enough that the screws which mount the lock to it can be ripped out with enough prying force. I've scribed then ...

I'm having problems of my own with my saved versions. It seems I saved only the raw HTML, with no pictures or anything. Try them for sure, man. I'm not the originator of the idea - I think stealththief was the first to bring them up - but damn they work wonders. Completely silences gravel if you make them correctly, and has really saved me a couple times going from a wet, muddy area into a clean interior surface.

The idea is similar to the rumble pick I posted awhile back, albeit a much older one. Vibrating lock picks can be made out of just about anything that shakes if you find a way to attach the pick. My friend Teck-9 made one out of an automatic toothbrush that worked pretty well. I've also seen them ma...

Covert camping is my specialty. :) More so than night ops, easily. First, tarps are heavy and generally meant for more utilitarian purposes. They make a fine shelter, but you're wanting to get the most performance out of the weight you carry. That said, you'd get more out of a one-man nylon tent. If...

I've always been a single edge guy, I guess just because I try to use my knife as a tool most of the time. More of a camper/survivor mentality than that of a fighting one. I think the biggest reasons I wouldn't be caught with them are that they ruin peripheral vision, allow less light into the eyes, and create a large reflective surface. So, you want to use an assault vest eh? Wearing an assault vest, also known as a load bearing vest (LBV) requires a bigger deal of preparation and change in tactics than most people realize.
