Lock Bypassing Basics: Carding
Carding A door that swings inward and is only locked by a mere knob is more often than not vulnerable to a simple piece of plastic. As the name implies, carding takes advantage of a mere card, be it for credit, membership, whatever, to open the door. Mind you though that anything with similar dimens...

Brute Force: Wedging Doors
Wedging An offshoot of prying, this method requires the use of wedges as the name implies to force a door to separate from it's frame. This is most easily done on a door that swings inward, but can also be used on outward swinging doors in some cases. Expect this method to produce several loud poppi...

Brute Force: Prying Doors
Prying This is the alternative side of the coin from ramming. If the door swings towards you rather than away, prying becomes the optimal brute force opening method. Technically, you can still ram a door open that swings outward, but it's largely inefficient. Instead, we want to try to force the doo...

Brute Force: Ramming Doors
Ramming Doors that swing away from you can often be forced from the frame by exerting enough force. This method is often loud and leaves unnecessary evidence even if you do not succeed, but it also requires very little skill and no equipment. Ramming depends on two things: the strength of the frame ...

I think a lot of people simply fold when doing the "ninja" method because they're worried they're going to get caught. When I made mine, I used a 2 AA body that extended past the palm of the hand. It wasn't compact, and I never planned on taking it with me since I only carry regular picks and wrenches. Lost in a crash: This is a design I created for about $1 using a broken PS2 controller, a cheapskate flashlight, and of course the pick itself which I made from lumber strapping. As the name implies, it's just another way to make a vibrating lock pick. First, you need any game controller with rumble...

Yeah I hope the vinyl paint helps. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything that would remove the substance without ruining the dye in the fabric. Acetone would certainly work, and the best I can offer is that I've wiped things off with rags soaked in it without the color coming out, but by no means is this any hint of what might hap...

To be honest, I agree with you that it's not really something that's important in most situations. The light can be worked around and doing so can even draw less attention. Good tip, I hadn't even thought of that. Ideally a single strand of the steel wool will glow red hot if there's enough juice. That's a fairly common trick for homemade ignitors. By rolling the ankle to the inside as you walk, you'll find yourself walking on the absolute outer edge of your footwear. Complacentcy often runs rampant across the human element of security. Even trained militaries fall victim to a comfortable, lazy state of mind brought about by long periods of inactivity. Right, neodymium magnets (unless there's some new and improved material out now) are best simply because they have the most magnetic force per volume of any magnet you can buy on a reasonable budget.
