Re: Parkour Documentary
29:00 = A real night op to me. ("Derby Rooftop Mission") Spot on, well executed - albeit disappointed with the finish. (Coming down so close to the van!) I didn''t think but you're right, just exploring like us, at night by stealth (through parkour), similar to my roof ops. I wish the architecture ...

QM: Quadrupedal Movement
I talk about QM a ton, it's short for quadrupedal movement, some exercises/parkour techniques. They're useful for all kindsa stuff. A great exercise is to cat walk up stairs backwards (or down stairs forwards). They're all good for coordination and for ridiculous balance and body awareness catwalk o...
Re: Darts
It's more of a for fun/old school training thing, but if you have some free time go for it, can't do any harm.
Re: woop.
Wear black if you make sure not to silhouette, wear a dark brown, blue, grey or green otherwise.
Re: Darts
Thanks for the tips I'll probably cruise around the hardware store, youtube and martial arts websites see what I can come up with.
Re: woop.
Agreed, everyone loves an exciting story. Glad you're getting into it so quickly.
Re: Darts
Not sure really, I was at Home Depot and saw the PVC (which is dirt cheap) and remembered some black paint I had and decided to make one. Might incorporate it into ninja training, probably won't come out on night ops unless it's real specific and necessary (read:never).
Darts
I remember people talking on and off about blow guns. I just made a blowgun, was wondering what kind of darts do people use/make/buy. The blowgun I made is a design I got from Snookytoeflips "ninja tips" video:
and the tube is 1/2 inch PVC.
Thanks.

Re: Clothing
Black should be your all around color, it works everywhere ('cept maybe a desert) but it's not the best anywhere, as it can silhouette you. Woodland (either digital or blotches) works well in the suburbs because it works fine as general darkness camo. I used to advocate dark blue but I don't like it...

Re: Some tips.
Some general tips:
Make sure you know your partners' abilities and your own before going out.
Travel light, you can always come back another night with more gear.
Go slowly all the time, going fast is for movies or large open spaces that must be dashed.

Re: Pursuit and aggressive escape
Psych you have the idea perfectly, normally people being chased feel that they are being hunted/victimized/whatever, but the idea here is to fight on your own terms and make it clear. It's not gonna be easy to set up and ambush if you're chasing someone, vice versa is simple though.

Re: Am I the only one pissed off at this shit?
Different strokes for different folks I guess. But I do see a decline in the straight up NO style that people appreciated a lot before, associated with ninjas and splinter cell... I've personally never been able to do many operations like that unless they begin and end in a park because of my highly...

Re: Help defeating these fences.
I deal with these a lot, Crisis hates them. What I do is pop up so that I'm holding myself up on my arms with my hands between spikes, with my waist around the top bar. After that I put on foot in between spikes, keeping my hands on the fence, from there you can either bring up the second leg and ju...

I like the first two a lot, would like more of a silhouette on the sky line one (like lights off in the buildings) but that's just because of my urban opping background, no idea if it would look better art-wise.

Softening an area
This is an idea I had after watching some butteryass mondays videos and doing parkour. The idea is to make an area you feel you'll op in a lot or might have to escape through more practical for you. It doesn't have to be anything to drastic and if you do it right you can soften up a place without an...

The monkey, kong, dash and kash vaults are some of the scariest to learn. They require both of your hands to be on the obstacle and you feet are placed in positions that initially are uncomfortable.
