And in the case of butterfly knives & nunchucks there's a greater chance of the attacker injuring themselves, so that's two birds with one stone.

They tried that on Mythbusters, but to no avail. Although I think they used a wetsuit instead of a drysuit, so maybe that's a factor.

Ha! I've got to try that next time I'm out. Although I should probably learn a bit more Latin to make the image more authentic. There is a particular shade of pink that actually makes good camouflage, the SAS uses it on their 4WDs (hence their nickname 'Pinkie' or 'Pink Panther'). It absorbs light, ...

I mainly get my gear from army surplus stores. They're expensive, but the quality is unbeatable. The only pieces of gear I bought online were my nightvision goggles (seen limited use) and my lockpicks.
Check the Gear Pics thread for a full list of my kit.

Yeah, like next to your name in the right-hand column a little (T) or keyboard symbol could appear.
I'm not sure if it's entirely possible, but it'd be cool to have some sort of system that monitors Lounge traffic and shows when people are usually on the most.

Konbanwa. Parkour is a very useful skill to know for night ops. Aside from learning how to navigate obstacles & pass perimeters easier, it also improves your balance which is essential for moving silently. After doing it for long enough you will also be able to perceive the environment in a new way...

Ouch, that's not good... Thankfully that's never happened to me on an op (yet) since I usually tuck my shirt into my pants (so I can access my belt kit). Although I did tear a huge hole in my ex-opping pants while vaulting a chainlink fence during a Parkour run, which is where my piece of string cam...

And she does Parkour. Immediate win. As for getting back on topic I'd recommend looking for dark 100% cotton clothes. BDUs (Battle Dress Uniforms) are generally the best; check in surplus stores for second-hand uniforms (second-hand clothes are usually softer, quieter and more comfortable). I got my...

Depends on the quality of the metal detector - a few weeks ago I brought 4 throwing knives & a folding knife into a courthouse without setting off the metal detectors. Either their warranty has expired or I'm a walking anomaly (both explanations are equally plausible).

Hmm... seems like just getting outside the apartment can be an op in itself. Learn the guard's patrol routes and find gaps in the security (i.e: times/places you can sneak past). Stick to the shadows as much as possible - if there are any - and tread quietly. Now getting outside is the easy part, ge...
