Re: For those of you who take pictures...
Just received it in the mail. I will give it a good test run and get around to giving my review on it soon.

I'm planning to get a pair of these in the future. The only problem for me right now is the price.

My basic gear. Pretty self explanatory. The small blue object is a light.

For those of you who take pictures...
What kind of tripod do you normally use? For the past month or so, I've had to lug around this big heavy tripod. Today, I ordered one of these: http://www.adorama.com/images/product/tpgpslr.jpg I'm pretty excited about this. Does anybody else use one of these? If so, how much of a difference would y...

Re: For the bare beginners: escaping from your family.
Does anyone else have trouble with their joints cracking as they escape? I can avoid all the creaky floorboards fine, but if I bend my knee or adjust my ankle wrong it makes a loud crack.

Re: Your usual distance?
My objectives are always within 3 miles (just under 5km) , so I will walk up to about 6 miles (10km) during an op at the max.
Usually, my objectives are about one to two miles from where I start walking.

Hahahahaha. Who would go sneak around in the middle of the night? It's dangerous out there you know.

I think this is a great idea. However, we are spread so thinly that there is little chance that this will be of use to any of us.

That is damn cool, but it is pretty costly. Can't wait to hear about it.

History Section
It seems that this forum would be the best place for this thread. I've been checking the history section every so often. The following message has always been there: "The History section is meant to chronicle all that has happened since the original Night Ops thread on TOTSE. It will be completed so...

Re: So What's Your Fucking Excuse?
I've been opping pretty frequently in general, but lately the frequency has diminished because I'm running out of objectives that are within close range of where I start from.

Re: Glasses
Switch to contacts. It completely eradicates the problem. If you do though make sure to take them out and clean them before ops. I've noticed that my contacts start to get foggy around the time I go out opping.

Re: APL Concept 1, Shoes That Make You Jump Higher
I don't think an extra inch or so is going to make much difference in how you op. If you can't jump somewhere, be resourceful. Also, 300 dollars isn't cheap.

Radios/Walkie Talkies
For those that do team ops, on a scale of 1-10 how useful would you say it is to have a radio system? Also, does the volume you need to use to communicate with the other person ever become a problem? Have you ever been detected because somebody heard your radio go off or heard you speaking into a ra...

For me this is always the most nerve-wracking part of an op. It's the real make or break moment usually.

Re: Paranoia and Fear of Darkness
I've never really been afraid of the dark, but I have had slight paranoia when I've been out on an OP. I guess that is good to an extent though because you don't want something to go unnoticed and get caught.

If you taped over the reflectors they might do ok. I don't know though. They look like they could easily be punctured by a barbed wire fence or something.

Construction Site Tips
I'm planning on doing an infiltration of a construction site. Theconfusedone and I did a daytime recon today, we noticed that the school complex had cameras. Were are not sure on what kind of security measures we should be looking out for within the construction site itself as we are new to construc...
