Re: Wrist rockets
It depends on the slingshot and the skill of the user. I've only used a slingshot once in my life (that I can recall) made out of a wire coathanger, some rubber tubing & a leather patch. I managed to achieve excellent accuracy shooting at soda cans 15m away. Then again, I'm a natural marksman.

Re: heavy breathing
I usually try to take deep, slow breaths with a wide mouth or a combination of nasal-ventral breathing when in public (such as on a train). It does take a bit longer to fully catch your breath fully, but it's quieter than huffing & puffing. Covering your mouth can work as well.

Good post. Fortunately stealth has always been my top priority, although I've never consciously thought of it that way. Guess it's just one of those things that develops subconsciously over time, like "black vision" or military/MA-trained reflexes.

BDU velcro patches
I recently got a multicam longsleeve to go with my trousers and it's got those velcro patches for putting name & rank tags (on the biceps, breast pockets, etc). I want to remove them because they stand out from the multicam pattern and ruin the effect, but I was just wondering if they'd have any pra...

I usually just play videogames while I wait for the household to go to sleep - stealth games in particular ( Thief, Splinter Cell, etc). Do you have a shed or something? You could hide a bag of all your gear up there where (hopefully) nobody will see it. You could always dig a camoflauged hole to hide your stuff in, but if your parents do a lot of yardwork they'll discover it eventually. If you have a compost heap or thick bushes/hed...
