Re: Detecting, Circumventing, and Bypassing Alarms.
I've gone through alarm info in great detail in the past, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears so I stopped. It's good to see someone else finally interested in them, but I can tell you that even though understanding alarms is simple, dealing with them never is. Magnetic switches have enough of a magn...

Two things are must-have: a key card with code, and some sort of counterfeit iris which realistically I could only see happening with a printed contact lens based off a high-res photo of an authorized person's eye, stuck to warmed ballistic gelatin. I'm sure there's some electronic exploit to avoid ...

I haven't forgotten about this. I've been combing over all my texts for ideas that I might not even use and have found a few I plan on integrating. Secrets of the Ninja, of all things, has a door entry method I see as valuable where you open the door just enough to wrap around it quickly and silentl...

I've been considering swapping over to a patterned or just black shemagh now for awhile, simply for the comfort factor. Plus I like the idea of having a little extra material sticking out actually, sometimes when I'm in a pitch black area walking towards even just a barely lit area it creates a glow...

This is the first I've heard of the problem, you should stay logged in for an hour or so by default. Are you positive it's not a browser setting? I'll check the control panel for your sake, but make sure the problem doesn't lie within Firefox or IE, whichever you may use. In fact, if you use one, tr...

Percentage-wise probably only 10% - at least in area, probably more like 30% in terms of time - but that 10% is typically the main reason I go out and deal with the other 90%. It seems as if it's a step that's naturally learned through night ops. Perhaps one simply retries a step over and over until a sufficiently silent one is found, which just happens to be the one described.

Re: Mixed Martial Arts as a Blueprint for Stealth
I'm not exactly sure how to organize the entire thing, to be honest. The idea hit me while writing some more on my guide and realizing how many useless vaults, walking methods, drops, and building entries there were when the goal is to go unnoticed. What makes that difficult though is that sometimes...

Hah, I found a car shopper one time but it was during the day. Things might have been better off for the kid if it weren't for the fact one of the cars he was trying to open was MINE. Cheap IR Navigation Trick

Since obsidian is a form of glass, it reflects the infrared spectrum just as any other glass will (think back to how PIR sen...

I've sometimes found that bypassing security measures can take so long that by the time I've rendered the area safe, I'm pretty much out of time forcing myself to come back another night. Call me simple, but practice makes "perfect". If you want to get better at something, you just have to do it over and over again. If you want to be a faster runner, you must run fast over and over. Running uphills here is a great help as the resistance tends to slow you down and tire you out faster....

I've actually gone over to a really cheap cotton balaclava as it's comfortable, light, and doesn't really impede hearing since the material is stretchy and loose knit. The method I use to test hearing is to gently rub my fingers together next to my ear so I can just barely hear them. Then I put on m...

Mixed Martial Arts as a Blueprint for Stealth
Mixed martial arts, in a nutshell, combines multiple disciplines together into a single form in which a fighter uses to accomplish his goal - to defeat his opponent. The idea is that only the ideal techniques from different arts are used, discarding impractical ones or moves which can be replaced by...

Re: Gloves?
I personally use a good mil-spec nomex flight glove. It's got thin leather palms with a nomex upper. They're surprisingly tough for a glove thin enough to allow me to operate a laptop's touchpad through. Depending on the operation, it doesn't hurt to compliment these with a pair of heavier leather o...

Having worked with those staples at work as recent as 3 hours ago, I can vouch for how sharp they are. There is no way superglue would hold them together when stepped on, so weld them.

It sounds like the perfect option for you and your group would be to just toss your shit in backpacks, travel to an area with more cover, and gear up in a hidden location there to begin your op. Re: Some tips.
Those poppers are worthless. They can only snap if thrown hard at a nearby object, so you can never use them at a long enough distance to be of worth. Using them at throwing range will just lead them right to you. There are tricks you can use, of course, to counter this like weighting the snaps, but...
