Re: Red Maglite filter
I bought a cheap flashlight that runs on a single AA battery and wrapped the wrapper of a babybel cheese wheel around the front and cut it to make a red light filter.

Barely use it anymore, but if someone started it up again I’d join. From when I made it there was barely if any activity and a number of guest accounts so overall pretty baron.

Re: "Web 2.0" update bug reports
Ok. Can you try these and see if either plays as you'd expect? I want to find out if it's something that affects the whole site, or if it's just dokuwiki. https://nightops.net/test/test1.webm https://nightops.net/test/test2.mp4 The first link also asks me to download to dropbox like previously. Re: "Web 2.0" update bug reports
EDIT: nvm, our http server supports byte-ranged requests. So I dunno. Can you watch the video if you open the file directly, like this? https://nightops.net/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=video:x:car_shop_op.webm No, i cannot watch directly from the file, it just redirects me to somewhere to download...

Re: "Web 2.0" update bug reports
Is it dependent on the filetype? Maybe you can watch .mp4 but not .webm files? I'd say that that isn't a bad guess. .mp4 is a pretty widespread standard and while .webm is nice and all, I don't think it is as popular. Also, the Chat Lounge wasn't loading properly for me a couple of days ago. I thou...

Yeah, Discord isn't very secure and i felt having it up would be a liability, and besides, IRC chat is a thing.

Re: "Web 2.0" update bug reports
In my experience, videos don’t play properly on mobile. If I’d guess what the problem is, i’d say that either the browser I’m using doesn’t properly embed the video or the mobile version doesn’t embed properly. Take that with a grain of salt though, idk what I’m talking about. Can you post a link t...

Re: Recruiting Options - The Hit Sequel Nobody Asked For
YouTube’s rules are becoming more and more restrictive by the day, so while I like the idea I don’t think it would fly too well.

Hope he hasn’t gone under or anything. Edit 2: He’s back again, he was gone for a little bit there

Re: Bo shuriken
Shurikens are definitely fun to play around with, although I’m not sure how much use they would be on ops. The only experience I’ve had with them is cutting some 4 and 6 pointed ones out of old sawblades and chucking them at an old door, with moderate success. Shurikens were mainly used as distracti...

Found my old cheap binoculars and dusted them off and tried them out. I remember why I put them down and never picked them back up again.

The use of optics during ops
What does everyone use for visual aid when it comes to far away obstacles and such. How do they perform? Where can you get them from? Sight is an important sense to utilise while on ops, aside from sound and to an extent touch, and I’m curious on everyone’s thoughts on this topic.

Shit, I was at a camping shop yesterday and saw a cheap knife and multitool combo but I left my wallet at home. Oh well, I will try to go to that place again soon and hopefully they still have it.

Re: Noise Spacing
Normally, I adjust how much noise I make according to the ambient noise, I don’t really use anything in particular to mask any noise, like passing traffic, but I might start using such techniques in future when it comes to inevitable noise.

https://thehiddenwiki.org Is a collection of .onion links but I’m not sure how many of the links work. b2fxrnttdue72ntq.onion should be a library of... informative files that may or may not be of use in the shadows. http://reddit.com/r/onions is a community that can provide more links to more sites....

Hey everyone
I decided to make an account here after lurking around this site for a while. Anyway, I have a proposition. Can we make a server on a website called discord. Between the FCC killing net neutrality and sites like this becoming more obscure overtime, it could be beneficial and easier to chat. As far i...
