Re: The Throwing Weapon Challenge

I guess javelins aren't really in the spirit of the challenge?

Re: EDC (every day carry) Thread

Wallet
Phone
Earphones
Keys on a lanyard
Watch
Torch
Handkerchief

Nothing out of the ordinary. Torch is right sorta size to fit nicely inside a fist if it comes to it. The keys and lanyard makes a nice flexible weapon, too. I'm planning on adding a bandana to the list when I find one I like.

Re: Let's talk camera work for Dare Ops.

I've seen some cameras, especially on phones, pick up infrared light. You could try using an infrared torch instead of a flash. Might work, might not.

Would a night ops wiki be a good idea? The format seems to suit the task pretty well.

Re: Unusual gears

Rape alarms often have pull-string mechanisms for setting them off - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Minder-PAL003-Personal-Attack-Purple/dp/B008VT0L4W - and have keyrings attached. Using a lanyard and two karabiners you can alarm a lot of things using these. Haha,, I have one of those. Another potential u...

Re: Nyctophilia

I've got a feeling I'm ripping this off from somewhere, not sure where, but whatever. The night makes the world more beautiful. It hides flaws, and shows you things you thing hidden by the daylight. You can see the stars, the city lights. You can go places you would never be able to go otherwise. Si...

Re: Carding +

I've tried it on my own doors and it worked fine. I actually came up with it because my doors could only be carded from one side, as there's a piece of wood that prevents access to the bolt from the other side.

Carding +

I found a way of extending the usefulness of carding, and I thought you lot might like it. Basically, a notch is cut into the card, big enough to fit around the bolt of the door. Then you simply card like normal, but pull rather than push. This lets you card doors that open towards you rather than a...
