Re: TAD Gear Review: The Best Nightopping Trouser Made?
Well, I may have exaggerated a bit out of fan-boy-ism, but the point is that personally, I wouldn't count down the 120 bucks for the differences. I'll agree with you that these TAD's are better in pretty much every respect, but are they 60 bucks better? From what I've seen I would argue not. As you ...

Re: Starting off.
I know my town pretty well, it's not that big, and I also know where I can encounter such individuals. I'm also prepared for them. At night, running is pretty full-proof. I'll go for that. I also know jiu-jitsu, might shit hit the fan. I'd feel more safe wielding a crowbar (you'll need a sword to ge...

Re: TAD Gear Review: The Best Nightopping Trouser Made?
Remind me of my own Taclite Pro pants in a lot of ways. The biggest difference is that my Taclites cost half of this. These have a few slight edges when compared, but they do cost an additional 60 bucks. And holy hell I love my Taclite pro pants. I'd go for them any day. Yeah they have velcro in ste...

Re: Well-lit urban areas.
Huh, my problem exactly. Stupid lights. We used to have a dark park (or whatever you call mid-city strips of green in English), but even that was completely covered in light recently. Lanterns everywhere. People rely on stupid light way too much, there is no way to go about on my business with any c...

Re: Trench Coats
I'm not a fan of it either. The only real advantage I see is the less recognizable body shape, for the rest I'd just hate jumping and climbing around in such a long coat. If I were to use them at all, it'd be for operations that are half hiding in plain sight and half sneaky-peaky like, but half-hal...

Re: Winter Gear
About this, I'll probably have to quit opping as soon as I began because of this snow thing. I have no proper camo for it. And it looks like it's going to be a snowy winter this year, it's barely December and it is already freezing and ever so slightly snowing. Anyhow, I got my shit ready for the fi...

Re: Starting off.
I think I've got my first target, the big ol' construction site. It has covered fences on all sides, so I don't think I'll be detected when snooping around, and it should be interesting enough. It's also close to my home, so I know the area really well. I'll check out the site and all access/exit po...

Re: Starting off.
Alright, I'm happy about the taclite pants because they are my favourite pair. Tons of pockets. As for the green, I live in a pretty damn urban area, but more rural or suburban area's aren't far from here. It's easily reachable by foot, and my pants are dark enough to go unnoticed as I go about. Any...

Re: observation of the unsuspecting human.
Things like these make it hard to estimate humans. Sometimes they're dumb as shit, other times they surprise you with inventiveness. But in this instance people simply don't care I think, they might have reacted differently if it were night and they felt vulnerable.

Starting off.
So, I am going to be a Night Operative. Seems like fun. I have always had a strange love for the night, parkour and sneaking around on places I shouldn't be, as well as collecting gear and tactical stuff. Looks like I found a way to combine them. Because I already have most tools necessary I can sta...
