Re: Winter Gear
Ok guys, might as well get this over with sooner rather then later. There is in fact a technique for opping in snowy environments without leaving a single footprint, but it's something of a site "secret". I'll talk it over with some of the veterans here, and see if everyone is ok with sharing. Keep...

Re: Martial Arts Thread
I did Ninpo for about a year. At the time I was annoyed about how we spent more time learning to bow in different ways than how to fight someone. Now when I think back on it, it was prety useful. I taught me how to roll properly in different directions, how to dodge a sword and generally increased m...

Re: Winter Gear
A problem I'm facing in Winter is that the frost makes the grass really crunchy to step on. Everything seems much stiller and queiter in winterm so the crunching can often make more noise than I would want.

Re: Music thread.
forgot that death grips had more than just exmilitary out, was reminded today, it is interesting Death Grips really deserve to be checked out. I didn't like their first album, lacked the raw anger I loved in Exmilitary but after a while it grew on me. I love it now. As for their second album, NLDW,...

Do car alarms go off if you try to open the door? My parents' cars don't but I just want to make sure.

Great new look. It also feels easier on the eyes. It might be just me but I felt that the "green on black" really tired out my eyes.

Re: need gear for starting out?
Aw....hell.....naw. Is there something wrong in what I said? The main purpose of night ops as defined in the original night ops thread on Totse is to go into a place, look around or do whatever and leave again without anyone knowing you were there. If you're planning your night ops expecting to be ...

Re: need gear for starting out?
Opping after work in your work clothes FTW That's good in the sense that if you are caught, you can say you were just taking a midnight walk. However, that goes against the spirirt of night ops (You must not be seen). Also, you may find yourself crawling around while opping, which willl get your wo...

Thanks, Æternaeon. That's a good explanation. If only there was some way of opening a circuit while making the control panel believe the circuit is still closed... I'm showing my ignorance here but if you had time at day to turn the alarm off and switch the wires leading to the windows to a small c...

Re: First lockpick kit
I highly advise trying to learn to work on individual pins rather than just raking, one you get to a high enough level raking will be useless.
A home-made lockpicking gun would be way too noisy to be practical for night ops. Stick with doing it by hand.

Does anyone have a certain stretching routine they use before going nopping? I find that it helps limber up my body and get rid of all the creaks in my joints. Thanks for the advice, Xanatos.
I'm going to go out for an 'op' in 30 minutes. I plan on sneaking through a field and past a house, doing a recon on a seemingly abondoned place near a field full of cows.
Any last minute advice?
Wish me luck!

Hey guys, I'm trying to learn to pick locks, not for criminal purposes peresay but for curiosity and for UE. I've only done one op; exfiltrate my light motion sensored house and take a little walk around a recently deceased woman's bungalow. I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for me to carry out, there's not much urban exp...
