Re: Is this site censored in China?
Too many vodka spammers. Those random threads you see regularly in Cyrillic with a bunch of URLs embedded? Yeah, spend a lot of my time cleaning up those. Might be able to auto-restrict people who use Cyrillic characters in their messages? There's not really a lot of people posting in russian here :)

This might be a bit more problematic than it seemed to.

Re: Bridging Wires
An interesting thing to do (if you absolutely can't disarm the system) would be to make the wires look like they've been chewed through, leading the owners to believe that their alarm system has been disabled by a rodent, and then coming for a visit the next night. This solution isn't preferable sin...

Re: What then?
I suppose a person dressed casually caught on a security footage could be shrugged off as another idiot who decided to go through someone's private property, if nothing went missing and the place isn't exactly high security, whereas a person in full ninja gear is going to attract significantly more ...

Re: Bypassing Alarms---The Smart Way.
Yes, a well designed system won't be easy to bypass. It's quite likely that it won't be possible to bypass it in any standard way. Social engineering might be an interesting thing here. If you somehow find a way to eavesdrop on people responsible for the alarm system (bugging the guards room / owner...

Re: Bypassing Alarms---The Smart Way.
Hey, i'm not saying you shouldn't try it. I'm just saying it's easy to do something that will end up in a situation that requires quick exfiltration from the area. A situation where the alarm calls the cops without making anything else is the worst scenario - there are no obvious clues that somethin...

Re: Bypassing Alarms---The Smart Way.
Let's start by quoting people who should know better than i do: http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=48380 Well most plc's have password protection so no real problem there & the simple answer is to put it in a locked cabinet? Also i find the remarks about the plc not being safe rubbish. th...

Re: Bypassing Alarms---The Smart Way.
In short: it depends. While this could work on PLC based systems that have a control unit that you can somehow access, most reasonably designed ones won't let you do that. Unless someone was dumb enough to bolt the alarm system to the outside of a building it's supposed to monitor, it will be inside...

Re: Magnetic Field Viewer Film
Looks like a neat thing, but from the video it seems like it might not be sensitive enough to detect magnetic door alarms, not to mention the fact that it'd be fairly harder to see one on this thing in the dark than on a compass (unless you can convince them to coat the little bits of metal with flu...

It's fine like that for me - i don't see it anymore.
Still, if you'd want to change it, You can get rid of img tag, and set background-image with css:

Re: Alternative style.
Thanks! Seems fine to me - that's mostly, why i'm posting it here. :) Tested on Firefox 28 / Win7 x64 In chrome afair, you have to replace @namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml); @-moz-document domain("nightops.net") { (...) } with (...) url: http://nightops.net Although, that's not really nee...

I've made custom website style, for use with Stylish (Firefox/Chrome plugin). Which, imo makes NONET look much nicer. :) Before: before.png before2.png After: after.png after2.png Main changes: -Removed not needed links (like members, faq, register) -Removed ugly phpbb icons -Removed phpbb footer -R...
