I know a lot of oppers like tabi for their flexibility and tactile feedback, I thought these looked pretty neat. Skimming through the reviews, they are not very durable, but seem like good opping shoes as far as stealth is concerned.

The best thing to prevent any sort of bug problems is to wear longer clothing. Also, to prevent tick bites you should cover your head (you should already be doing that).

I like the idea, but I don't think those are very combat ready, they seem to be made for role playing. I am more interested in the material than the gloves themselves, it could be adapted for more useful purposes.
