Despite its flaws, the intro of WotS hit the right chord at the right time. Certainly inspired younger me to go on my first op that night, and I'm still here browsing over a decade later.

Second everything Xanatos says. I believe people have met each other through this forum in the past, but that's rather rare. If anybody appears to know other operatives, they more likely came to this website together, already knowing each other in day-to-day life.

Re: Trying to get into Night Ops
Learning to exit the house well is the first big step most of us take here. For our younger operatives, infiltration/exfiltration of the home is often the most important part of the whole op! It certainly was for me when I was younger. Once I got out of the house, I started opping by just exploring ...

I live in an area where there are padlocks out and about in town that can be picked. In the past, I've gone on ops to just practice picking whatever locks I could find. In the daytime, as long as the area was secluded or low traffic, I could pick away and just keep my head on a swivel. I ended up ha...

I've also had problems with window bristles. You're exactly right that the solution is to just open it slowly. But, the sound of the bristles is certainly better than screeching and whining sounds as the window slides along the frame. Good luck with your exit route.

I was also a teenager when I started, but I lived in a suburban area. Is it possible to conduct ops in urban areas, albeit its slightly more challenging. Have you read Psychlonic's Way of the Shadow yet? I highly recommend reading every line.
