I don't know if you heard about, the camo manufacturer Hyperstealth, but it's said they have developed a technology called "Quantum Stealth" which is capable of making an object completely invisible. I don't know if it actually works, but they say if no government is buying this for military use it will be released to the public on July 1.
There are their pages:

Re: Hyperstealth
I like the idea, but something tells me it's not going to work as well as advertised (at least in the visual spectrum) and it'll probably be so ludicrously expensive that only fortune 500 company CEOs will be able to afford it.
We are all books containing thousands of pages and within each lies an irreparable truth.

I have no illusions about this, and I dont know if this technology really works, but those pictures are mock-ups and they never released any "real" pictures about this. They say they'll release this on July 1, so they might release information about the actual thing.

Re: Hyperstealth
If someone ends up getting a sample of the fabric then they'll no doubt let everyone know how/if it works. For now though don't get your hopes up. I see only two options:
- If it's affordable, it won't work as intended.
- If it isn't affordable, it may or may not work, but either way you still won't be able to afford it.

I think the same about the price. It'll be probably very high, so there wont be too much people who could afford that. And I'm pretty sure that this technology is not perfect, because when they offered it to the Canadian Army, and they said they are not interested. I'm not sure if it's really that good, just want to see what it turns out to be.
