New guy here wants to ask a few questions

Post by Termite4 » Tue Oct 03, 2023 6:08 pm

Hi guys,
I want to get into the urbex side of the world and this website and it’s library have helped me kickstart this I decide to make an account and ask some questions:
1. Can anyone give me any good gear shops IV got camo uniforms mainly just the rest.
2. Can anyone give me some more persec pdf files other than the library ones.
3. In the uk what are some good places to do it at for example I assume farms aren’t good? Because of the majority having shotguns.
Thanks
Termite

You can find basically anything on Ebay or Amazon. Otherwise I'm sure there's some specialty store that sells tactical gear in the UK, or an army surplus shop (I get most of my gear through there). Airsoft/paintball shops are also viable for camouflage & other gear. Varusteleka is another great website for surplus gear and they also make their own line of clothing & military products (except firearms) in Finland (under the Sarma brand). I highly recommend them, although they can be quite pricey.

As far as targets go in the UK, well you do have a lot of old castles & shit to explore. Being a lot smaller than the US and having a (comparatively) superior public transport system, getting to & from them should be easier for you than some of your cowboy operators.

Viper Tactical gear is based in the UK, they have some decent gear.
The Sun is down, time to go to work.

If you're in the UK then you're actually in luck of sorts. As long as you don't vandalise you basically can't get in trouble. Hence that one black dude who walks into peoples houses just because he can, that one bunch of teens who stay in malls after dark and get chased by security a bunch and Geowizard who treks throguh yards and all over the welsh countryside. What's funny is I don't think he's aware that he wont get in trouble at all either. The thing is he did get a door knock- for recording a trainline crossing and posting it online.

Long story short get plain hoodies and shoes you can run in, Gloves if you need to climb and at least once reliable headlamp. Most problems happen in places you can't see. If you get a red light it wont backwash as badly and you can hide from most human eyes. Most people see a redlight in a window from a distance and think some sort of device is left on inside, not Person. Cameras are the thing to watch for so always have a full face cover you can breathe in. Wool (thin) balaclavas or riding masks are good.

Don't take your phone. Don't take anything with HDD or flash storage that isn't absolutely purged. If you drop a cam with your experiences on it or lose a gopro which shows you doing the dirty you can get time and placed. That said, the UK is insanely forgiving about night ops and tresspass as most of the others in the west know it, does not apply there. Full stop. Damage = you will get in trouble for that, but tresspass? No. You will be asked or escorted to leave. But you don't have to do anything. You can bail.
