Night Ops

So, I've been scouring the internet looking for this damn missing totse thread, as per the history page: http://nightops.net/history.php

I found an archive of the totse forums, but it's missing a lot of stuff. It's the most complete set of community forum posts I can find, however. I've compressed it and made it available here: http://darknedgy.net/files/TotseArchive.tar.xz

Just for distributions sake, someone else should probably download that from here just in case. But alas, it does not have thread VIII, as far as I can tell. Feel free to dig through and see if you can find it in there. I then came across this thread:

In this thread, according to Ghost, VIII was *never created.* I wasn't around then, or wasn't active anyway, so I have no idea if this is true or not. But I was grepping around in my archives, and I found these links:

Which did not work, and the files appear to be missing afaik. I think we have those on the history page, anyway, though. But no VIII :\
So I don't think there's even any record of them existing.

And now we'll see if anyone there has any luck. It seems like VIII never existed, though.

To be honest, it seems likely that whoever created the next thread messed up their roman numerals and the thread really didn't exist after all. I don't really know, though, I wasn't around.

Personally I prefer the mystery. What really happened to Night Ops VIII?

I thought we made a pact never to speak of that thread or the information it contained ever again. The opping community wasn't ready to cope with those revelations then, and it sure as hell isn't now.

Edit: if anyone asks, just tell them it was a typographical error.
