Re: Hello
Welcome to the site. Glad to see we're getting more Australians, how long have you been at this?
Re: tomahawks
I certainly wouldn't advise against it. It's better to be armed with one rather than a knife. It can also double as an effective tool in quite a few situations in which it would be better than a knife. However you will need to consider the fact that it is larger and therefore not as easy to conceal,...

Re: When did you become interested in stealth?
I started really becoming interested in night opping thanks to urbex. I started by walking around my town a great deal, realizing how many abandoned buildings there were, becoming interested in what could be inside of them, and finally coming around to the idea of how much easier it would be at nigh...

Re: Gloves
Is it sad that I knew exactly what I was going to see when I saw the link? Regardless that's not a great idea. How conspicuous would it be to be wearing bracers in your gear at night? Also those gloves look nice but for the price? Well in some instances you get what you pay for.

Which is exactly why they would pick up the first guy they saw in a balaclava. So much easier than verifying that you have the right guy.

It's not an ancient roman proverb either. It was a quote from "De Re Militari" written by Flavius Vegetius Renatus in roughly 390 A.D. and it's not a very good quote at that.

So you're North American, can you get any more specific? Regardless Alpenflage is unlikely to be very helpful unless it is Fall yet generally speaking some camouflage is better than none. I would recommend moving to something more dark and with colors that you are more likely to approach year round ...

Realistically you would be very unlucky if a helicopter found you while not looking for you, i'd suggest figuring the schedule out then avoiding. If you simply stay out of the way and not look suspicious then you should be just fine. Oh and welcome to the forums.

Rojas, make your own. This isn't a great idea, unless you have a place you know you'll almost never be caught. Really you need to do your training separate from your opping in this case.

This is the reason that at the very, very least I always cover my face on an op. There is no excuse not to do it, once you're seen then that's it, it is much easier to find you afterwards. I would attempt to run and hide which is especially effective if you are familiar with the area. I agree with N...
