8chan allows users to create their own boards, and seems 'open' for the time being. But I don't think they support Tor or anything like that.

Re: Night Ops patches
Glad you like it. The problem with full length picks is that they looked cumbersome when crossed, so I simply cut the traced shapes in half at the handle and it looks more symmetrical that way. Now I'm thinking I need to somehow turn up the contrast or vectorize the rough outlines, turn them green a...

This is the concept I was turning over in my mind for a long time, I finally just traced it and scanned it into the computer.
It obviously needs refinement but what the hell.

I chose the wrong shade of green but you get the idea.
The hexagon could be replaced with a pentagon and in that way represent the idea of the knife from the original, or maybe just CIA secrets. Every image should stand for something.

Re: Night Ops patches
Neon green on black background seems to be the agreed colors of the "branch" so to speak. It would be less crowded by forgoing the knife entirely, leaving only the insignia of the crosspicks, perhaps enlarged. I think it's important to distinguish between a coat of arms design, which could be more e...

Re: What are you doing during "The Big Freeze"?
These observations are not universal. No branch has exclusive rights on pencil pushing. What seems to be my consistent impression is a more relaxed pace and a higher standard of living in the air force than the army. I hear soldiers say if they could do it over again they might have joined the AF. N...

Re: What are you doing during "The Big Freeze"?
In rare instances, I've heard of soldiers promoted to E-5 just because they were on a list somewhere, no board or anything. E-1 through E-4 is automatic over 6-12-24 months. AF has always been smaller though. Smaller footprint and less opportunities for promotion and advancement it seems. Is this yo...

You can read for yourself in experiences how often people are seen in some way on rooftops. Make certain the lookout keeps a low profile and maintains noise discipline...
